Hoppy easter, to whomever reads these!
I was accepted to college recently, and I'm set to go next year! Getting excited - and scared. It's in a city I've never been in before, and it's a little rough in some places. Small-town girl, that's me. Been to New York, Toronto shouldn't be too much of a problem, right? Right. I put my first entry n this site today, and it was kind of fun. I don't know if memes are really my thing, but felt bad my page was so blank. My favourites are full to bursting, but my own gallery boasted nothing. Problem fixed
Also - I'm giving up. I'm definitely a Brony. Or whatever femenine form there is of that. Pegasister? Filly? Who knows. LOVE that series! Never expected to, really. But it grew on me like a mould, and now it's hard not to like it.
Found another love of my life this year - Doctor Who. Good Lord, what have I been missing! Started with the 9th Doctor, and worked my way up. Fell in love almost instantly.
And thank goodness for my worldly friends, who have showed me new music, and some of my new favourites!

Went to New York and Toronto for the first time, wore skinny-jeans, applied for college

I don't make new year's resolutions, usually.

No, thank goodness.

luck and sleep.

May 20th, because I went to new York for the first time, Dec. 15, because that's when I gave out Christmas presents to my friends

fund-raised $800 for my trip

not working harder at my first job.

Not really, which was pleasant

My black stone cat, and my green 1940s-style dress.

My friend Anthony, who is such a trooper in the face of failed relationships

summer vacation...

It's summer vacation. Actually, it's nearer the end of summer vacation. And I'm already missing school 
they're renovating my school (because they decided "Hey! it's over 100 yrs old, and it's still standing pretty good! Miraculous! Now let's tear down all that history and build a new one!" Urk.) and supposedly they were going to 'blow up' or demolish the b and c wings of it on July first (Canada Day!) - though those i can sort of see why. When you jumped too hard, asbestos flakes fell from the ceiling. but all the same, I'll be sad D: it's an art school! the third floor b-wing was huge and beautiful, wood floors, huge windows, airy classrooms...and they'll all be gone. But on the upside, with the new wing, the vocal practice rooms will be better. I'll no longer have to tune out other people in adjacent rooms while they're all supposed to be soundproof!
I also know that there are tunnels under the school to a bomb shelter from the second world war - and I know where the entrances are
I've acquired my first-ever job! *fistpump* I will soon be being trained to work at New Orleans Pizza, doing god-knows-what. But hey, they're paying me, even if it's student wage. I've never had a job before, so I'm kind of nervous.
On the same topic as jobs, I found out that my career choice - a library technician - pays a little above minimum wage where I am. So unless I want to move to Calgary or something, I need to find a new path. Talk about a disappointment. Maybe I'll just go in for a penny in for a pound and try to become a full librarian. Will we still HAVE librarians when I get out of post-secondary? I sure hope so!
*SPOILERS*I am anticipating/dreading seeing the new Harry Potter movie. i will SOB. Severus was one of my favourite characters, and I'm gonna have to watch him die! She's already killed off Sirius, and Remus dies, too. I guess that really gives me a crack-pairing, doesn't it? My Harry Potter OTP (One True Pairing) is Remus/Hermione/Sirius, or a variation on that (I guess that would make it more of an OT3 then, wouldn't it?). Still don't agree with the epilogue. I hated Ron.
I'm rereading the books, and just finished the Prisoner of Azkaban. I really thought Snape was going to pop a blood vessel at the end! Poor guy.

I am very enthusiastic about Christmas. The fact that i still have TWO MORE DAYS of school left dampens said Christmas spirit. my dad gets off work before we get out of school here! And I only get to open one present Christmas day. Boohoo.
The entire family is coming in for New years. Meaning that we get to open the rest then, and I'm also being kicked out of my bed in favour of my brother. Where are we going to fit the rest of them? Don't ask me, I have no idea. Seven siblings, plus their broods of kids.
On the upside, I'm watching Stargate and drooling over Daniel Jackson.
I'm also very rapidly becoming addicted to 'Lackadaisy Cats', a comic written and illustrated by the UBER talented Tracy J Butler. Favourite characters? Definitely Viktor and Zibb. Oh! and Rocky.
Unfortunately, I have not come across any rediculously good new romance novels recently, but there's always time. As it is, I'm rereading Karen Marie Moning's Highlander books.
Also. Wonderful speaker and storyteller that I am completely in awe of and often in stiches by the end of his show - The Vinyl Cafe's Stuart McLean on CBC Radio. Dave Cooks The Turkey. My favourite christmas story, other than maybe Polly Anderson's Christmas Party.
I watched the Hannibal Lecter movies for the first time recently. And was shocked at how much I liked them! didn't find Dr. Lecter scary in the least. He was facinating, and very very cool. I almost didn't care about the fact that he eats people.He's cultured, refined, has a sense of humor, and is very intelligent. A gentleman. *shrug* but that's just me. Why don't you guys tell me what you think of these things? Comment!
